Statewide Business Services Task Team

The Business Services Team is chartered by the Washington Workforce Association to achieve its vision of a demand-driven workforce system. The WWA recognizes the design of such a system may take many forms while allowing for the unique characteristics of each workforce development area and its associated economic and labor markets.

The team will create a focus on the operational aspects of achieving WWA policy and performance goals and ensures a network of business-focused professionals a common forum from which to share best practices and key successes. It is hoped the combined efforts of the twelve areas will help move implementation of state and regional strategies in a timely and cost efficient manner.

The scope of work of the team is established by the WWA. WWA agendas will include a standing item for the team to report, present its recommendations, and receive comment and direction from WWA.

Membership on the team consists of each member of the WWA and his or her designee(s), as well as WWA staff. As topics warrant, invited guests may be asked to assist the team in its work. Invitations may be for presentations or discussion, or may, on occasion, extend to limited affiliation with the team during a particular project’s duration.

Resources available to the team include the support of WWA staff for convening meetings and arranging facilities, duplication and distributing of team meeting notes, and assistance with reports and/or presentations on behalf of the team.
